About

Serving Country with la French Touch

Justine Beverley is a bilingual singer-songwriter whose music blends the warmth of American country with the soul of Scottish folk and a touch of French pop. Just months after her first open mic in 2023, Justine earned a coveted slot at the Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Open Stage, a breakthrough that led to performances at Country2Country and other major Scottish festivals.

Influenced by Lainey Wilson, Evan Honer, Sons of the East, and Beluga Lagoon, her sound is rooted in sharp, intimate storytelling. Writing in both English and French, her songs explore heartbreak, wanderlust, and the fragile poetry of everyday life. In 2025, Justine honed her craft in Nashville, attending Andrea Stolpe’s renowned songwriting retreat featuring Beth Nielsen Chapman, and showcasing her work at writers’ rounds.

Her first two singles “Passenger Seat” and “On n’oublie pas” (2025) have received combined coverage from BBC Radio Scotland, CountryLine Radio, and other national outlets, positioning Justine as one of the most exciting emerging voices connecting Nashville’s storytelling with Europe’s country-folk revival.

Her debut single [Passenger Seat] and what a song, dripping in those country sounds and the deeper we get into the song the deeper the instrumentation becomes, which wraps itself around you and doesn’t let you go.

[On n’oublie pas] is just as likeable, with a breezy country twang, but this time the lyrics are in French. This always adds a touch of class, even when the backing threatens a hoedown. It’s a bold mix, but it works, and we enjoy it.
